Flipper, although you wanted something else you found something even better, perhaps the WTBTS made a big mistake when they used the word Legal Seperation.
They used to say it was okay to seperate from your spouse but that was not a legal seperation.
This is just too good! I wonder how many JW are going to go out and get a Legal Seperation with a clauses that in six months they would file divorce papers.

i think the kh is cleaning out their book supply on my wife, last night she went to the meeting (ministry school/local needs) and this morning there is a copy of 'all scripture is inspired....." sitting on the kitchen table.
is there any low hanging fruit in this book that i may be able to ask questions about????.

Yeah, I remember studying that book along with the bible. IDuring the meetings, I would wait for some sort of explanation and they never had one. They just pick and choose which scriptures they wanted to write about and leave out some important issues.
It really made me feel empty and not inspired what so ever!
If you were to write about scriptures with historical facts would you not add a little bit more and explain some scriptures that they left out? So much for the word All.

?....or did i miss a post about it?.....i am not supposed to talk about anything jw with my hardcore jw wife...but while on the toilet takin care of biz..i was reading the lit she leaves in a basket...it was a wt..july 08, but dont know which one....once i showed it to her it disappeared...but damm the last page i think... it had a drawing of jesus and the text under it said this "jesus used the name jehovah in his prayers"....or close....and that is a fluckkin lie!...zero support for it!...so i said just freakin show me where he did...i think my pants were still down...i had already come to terms with the fact that jesus never once uttered the name jehovah ever...because what kid...esp in a serious discussion with his dad (like prayer) would ever call him by his first name???

Yeah the 72 or 73 people who translated the new testament claimed that the Hebrew Mesortic, scribes, error. They added Jesus into the old testament text because the Jewish people took him out. So you get a lot of nuts out there thinking a lot of OT scriptures are about Jesus. I think the 72 people went to extremes and really did added some thoughts.
See it has nothing to do with just JWs but through out time all christian and Jewish scholars.
So you see a lot people say that is Jesus in the OT and you think well maybe but maybe not!
It is the samething! Jehovah in the NT verses Jesus in the OT!
Maybe Jesus fullfilled some Old Testament scripture but but that does not mean those scriptures were about Jesus.

Scrolls were opened represent the WTBTS books! and another scroll is the book of life. NOT!
It sounds like scrolls, not the scroll of life, that the dead were judged according to their deeds. Scrolls does not have titles. Those are the scrolls(no title) that the dead are judged.
The scroll(book) of Life has a name and who ever was not found written in this book was hurled into the lake of fire. Who ever sounds like names written in the book of life verses deeds.
The WTBTS say that the Dead are not the living standing before the throne but dead who are being judged! but that not what it say in Rev19:5 Dead came to life.
They lack because they claim that the other scrolls are their books!
So I guess if one does not make that first resurrection than the second resurrection is the dead coming to life, and if your name is not written in the book of life your judged out of the no named scrolls for your deeds and thrown into the lake of fire, second death!
Sounds better than WTBTS keeping track of your deeds (scrolls good or bad deeds) Does anyone think that is what they are doing? Although, I was just joking it does make me wonder if thats what they are doing.

Leo AMAZING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! It looks like they are using epi the wrong way according to their own definition. How can they rule the earth without being in the location. According to the WTBTS they will do this invisible with the invisible Jesus. What is the purpose of ruling invisible?
Interesting that the Diaglott diagram uses a different word for over and it looks like it is above epi which means upon. How come they did not use the other Greek word instead of the one that mean upon which is epi.

Interesting! No wonder that elder thought he was appointed and he was not part of the 144,000 group! Because he thought they, elders, are over the earth in a kingship way ruling congregations!

recently an elder called to see me and gladring - more social than scriptural meaning we had a "chat" but he wasn't being overly preachy.. anyway, a bit in to the conversation he said something about cleansing of the org and about ray franz in the 70s.
then he said something about some wt articles from that time weren't right yet got published, like as if ray or his "apostate" cronies ran their own agendas thru them or something.
has anyone else heard anything like this?
Btw, this same elder also said he felt that the 144,000 number was off as he reckons there were far more than that amount called between 33CE and now. Pretty open-minded for an elder I thought.
He is the kind of elder that the rest of the elders are watching! Elders can not go against the 144,000 doctrine!
Where do you stand as far as his visit to you? Do you want them to visit and why? What are you gaining from this elder? friendship? perhaps you need to learn to seek that some place else. I really do think this elder is sneaky and he has only one motive, and that is to keep the congregation clean. You said that you know his son-in-law, sounds like someone is talking about you.
Also, he is not much of a trust worthy elder if he is trying to help you out, yet he leaves you feeling confused to one of the main doctrines of the WTBTS. It really is unfair to you! and he is not being honest with himself.
Really now do you want to sit around sharing WTBTS crap with a disgrunted elder who would probably turn on you like a pit bull!

Okay there is his motive. Perhaps I am not understanding something! Did you call him with questions? Did you make a statement to anyone about Franz publications? Did you ask him over to your house? and was he with another elder?
It really does not matter what this elders states, because what matters is that YOU are true to yourself and what you think about the WTBTS.
